Isché 5th Floor Construction Project

Please note: this page will be updated as more information about the project is confirmed and as the construction progresses.

The 5th Floor of the Resource Center Building was selected for construction of a new IT server room.

Construction is scheduled to begin September/October 2025, and the initial phase will last through at least October 2026. Crews are scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 7am until 3:30pm, and the floor will be very noisy.

The IT server room will be built on the Prieur side of the floor:

During construction, seating on the 5th Floor will be reduced. As of now, there are two scenarios on where the containment walls will be installed, thus affecting how much seating will be available during the project.

The first scenario calls for the construction containment walls to be placed on the Bolivar Street side of the floor:

The scope and length of this project will be a challenge for all who use the Library. Please be conscientious of your fellow students who may be displaced as a result of this construction.
